This is my first experience with Engenho São Luiz. However, it will not be my last. This well-crafted extra premium is one of a number of exceptional products I’ve tried in the last few weeks.

The appearance is a clear, light brown, with plenty of tears against the glass. The nose is clean, with a medium intensity. There are notes of cane, vanilla and spice. The palate is dry and smooth, with a medium flavor intensity. Like the nose, there are hints of the cane and spice, with a little edge of vanilla. The finish is medium, with some complexity.

Overall, this is a very good product.

I don’t mean to belabor the point, but I’ve run into some very good cachaças lately. I only hope that my luck continues. Indeed, if you have the chance to pick this one up, I urge you to do so.
